Healing for the whole community.

Fraser House recognizes that we provide service within the traditional, ancestral, unceded and shared territories of the Stó:lō people specifically the Leq’á:mel, Matheqwí, Qwó:ltl’el, Sema:th, Sq’éwlets, Kwantlen and Katzie people who have stewarded this land since time immemorial.
Our Vision

Fraser House Society provides substance use counselling, prevention and health promotion services to adults, youth in the city of Mission and surrounding areas.

We are also home to a Rural Connections Program that operates out of Deroche, which provides services to residents living between Hatzic Prairie and Lake Errock.

We shifted and adapted our services during the covid pandemic in order to meet the needs of our clients in Mission and its surrounding areas.

Substance Use Counselling

We offer counselling services to adults in the Mission, British Columbia area who are wanting help and support around substance use issues. We also provide counselling services to family members who are impacted by a loved one’s substance use.

Youth and Family Counselling

The Youth and Family Program offers confidential counselling, school support, prevention, early intervention and referrals to detox and residential treatment. Our Youth and Family counsellors work with youth from age 12 to 24 who are experiencing substance use issues or are affected by the substance use of someone close to them.

Rural Connections

The Rural Connections Program is designed to provide a holistic community solution to problems associated with substance use. This program offers counselling, prevention and referral to support to individuals and families living in the rural areas from Deroche to Lake Errock.

Community Outreach Counsellor

Our Community Outreach Counselling Program is funded by a grant from Community Action Initiative.

Facilitated by Norm Palmer who works with those in our community who may be experiencing challenges related to substances and are not easily connected to services. This program strives to connect our community members to appropriate services while removing barriers. Some of the work our Outreach Counsellor does is to provide support and information, accompany clients to appointments, design safety plans, assist with housing referrals, provide harm reduction supplies and a myriad of other services.

“Fraser House Society offers a warm and inclusive space where people are welcomed with respect, can connect at their own pace, and feel supported in exploring concerns related to their own substance use or the impact of a loved one’s substance use.”
